HubSpot Pricing, Explained Simply
HubSpot's pricing has a lot of moving parts: Hubs, tiers, seats, contacts, credits. We've broken it all down so you can understand exactly what you'll pay and why.
How HubSpot Pricing Actually Works
HubSpot isn't one product with one price. It’s a platform made up of individual Hubs, each solving a different business problem. Your final cost depends mostly on three areas: which Hub you choose, which tier, and the amount of usage (seats, marketing contacts, and AI credits).
Hubs & Tiers
HubSpot has 7 products (called 'Hubs'). Each comes in up to three tiers: Starter, Professional, and Enterprise. Higher tiers unlock more features and automation.
Seats
Every person who uses HubSpot needs a Seat. The type of seat (and its cost) depends on what tier and Hub they need access to. Some seats are included; extras cost more.
Contacts & Credits
Marketing Hub charges based on marketing contacts. All Hubs include AI credits for Breeze features = go over your limit and you pay per credit.
What Each Hub Costs
Here's what you'll pay for each Hub at each tier on monthly basis.
| Hub | Starter | Professional | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marketing Hub | $20/mo per seat | $890/mo (3 seats incl.) | $3,600/mo (5 seats incl.) |
| Sales Hub | $20/mo per seat | $100/mo per seat | $150/mo per seat |
| Service Hub | $20/mo per seat | $100/mo per seat | $150/mo per seat |
| Content Hub | $20/mo per seat | $500/mo (3 seats incl.) | $1,500/mo (5 seats incl.) |
| Data Hub | $20/mo per seat | $800/mo (1 seat incl.) | $2,000/mo (1 seat incl.) |
| Commerce Hub | — | $95/mo per seat | $140/mo per seat |
This is only list pricing: Final pricing may vary based on your setup, billing terms, and usage. We’ll help you choose the right configuration and get you the best possible price.
Included Seats: Professional and Enterprise tiers of Marketing Hub, Content Hub, and Data Hub include seats in the base price. Sales Hub, Service Hub, and Commerce Hub charge per seat with no minimum.
Seats: Who Pays for What
Not everyone on your team needs the same level of access. HubSpot uses different seat types to match access to what each person actually needs.
Important: If you mix tiers (e.g., Marketing Hub Pro + Sales Hub Enterprise), all Core Seats are priced at the highest tier.
Core Seat
The default user seat in HubSpot. Core Seats let your team access the account based on the permissions you assign (settings, CRM data, and shared tools). Some product-specific features require Sales or Service seats, but Core Seats work for general access and admin/configuration tasks.
Sales Seat
A specialized seat for revenue teams that unlocks Sales Hub features like pipelines and deal tools, sales automation, meeting scheduling, sequences, calling, and sales reporting (exact features depend on your tier). Assign Sales Seats to reps and sales managers who actively work deals; everyone else can typically stay on Core Seats.
Service Seat
A specialized seat for support and customer success teams that unlocks Service Hub features like shared inbox/help desk tools, SLAs, routing and automation, feedback surveys, and service reporting (exact features depend on your tier). Assign Service Seats to agents and CS managers who actively handle tickets; everyone else can typically stay on Core Seats.
Commerce Seat
A specialized seat for teams managing quote-to-cash process in HubSpot. Commerce Seats unlock tools for creating quotes, payment links and invoices, collecting payments, and tracking payment activity and revenue reporting (exact features depend on your setup and region). Assign Commerce Seats to the people who actually need CPQ tool, issue invoices or manage payments; most other users can stay on Core Seats.
View-Only Seat
A read-only seat for stakeholders who just need visibility. View-Only Seats can access dashboards and records to review activity and performance, but can’t create, edit, or run automations. Ideal for executives, finance, or occasional reviewers who don’t work in HubSpot daily.
Partner Seat
A free seat that clients can assign to eligible HubSpot Solutions Partner employees (like us). It gives your partner team full access to the client’s account features so they can implement, configure, and support HubSpot without the client paying for extra user seats
Marketing Contacts: The Cost Most People Miss
If you use Marketing Hub, you don't just pay for the software - you pay based on how many contacts you actively market to. This is the pricing element that catches most businesses off guard.
Marketing Contacts - Contacts you send marketing emails to or target with ads. These cost money.
Non-Marketing Contacts - Everyone else in your CRM. These are free (up to 15 million total).
Regularly audit your marketing contacts. Contacts you're not actively engaging shouldn't be marked as marketing contacts — it's an easy way to keep costs down.
| Tier | Included | Additional Pricing |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | 1,000 | From $50/mo per 1K |
| Professional | 2,000 | From $250/mo per 5K |
| Enterprise | 10,000 | From $100/mo per 10K |
AI Credits: Powering Breeze Agents & Automation
HubSpot's AI features (called Breeze) run on a credit system. Every Hub subscription includes a monthly credit allowance - but if you use AI agents heavily, you may need more.
Included Credits
| Starter | 500/mo |
| Professional | 3,000/mo (5,000 with Data Hub) |
| Enterprise | 5,000/mo (10,000 with Data Hub) |
Need More?
- Capacity Pack: $10/mo per 1,000 credits
- Pay-as-You-Go: $0.01/credit
- Credits reset monthly
- Unused credits don't roll over
Important: Credits are not additive across Hubs. Multiple Pro Hubs = 3,000 credits total, not combined.
